2006 - The Year in Review
With profound gratitude to the Lord we look back on 2006. We thank him for the health of our family. We thank him for answered prayer and continual blessing. Our wonderful sons, Jonathan (17) and Stephen (14) continue to walk with Y'shua. They are a source of encouragement and hope for the next generation. Please pray for them as they come into their young adult years.
2006 was a year full of building ministry relationships and seeing God move in mighty ways. We saw Jewish people and non-Jews dedicate their lives to Messiah. We saw the supernatural power of God in physical healing and divine information released. What an adventure!
In the spring Karen Hoerdel, with Katharine's assistance, taught a rich and deep Bible study from the book of Ruth. We celebrated three Passover Seders: in Willits, at Marin Covenant Church, and at New Life Christian Center.

Of course our annual trip to Israel blessed a busload of believers from our area. While in the land, God lavished His love through us monetarily to meet the specific needs of both Jewish and Arab congregations. (see our page Israel 2006 on this website.) What an honor to support these congregations.
Summer found us rallying the community of faith in the political realm. We attended the Chistians United For Israel (cufi.org) gathering in Washington D.C. Three thousand five hundred came to stand with Israel and confirm our commitment by meeting with both our Senators and Representatives. Eighty of us crowded into Senator Dianne Feinstein's office, with Pat Boone as our spokesman, to thank her for the votes she has cast in favor of Israel. Katharine and I led our delegates to Representative Lynn Woolsey's office. We are grateful for the time she spent with us as we spoke about the need for our locally elected officials to be appraised of the true situation in the Middle East. We attended the San Francisco and Sacramento rallies and helped with the Night to Honor Israel in Berkeley.
The summer activities were punctuated by a touching concert with Ted Pearce, one of the finest Messianic worshippers on the scene today. It was a joy to host Ted in our home and we are looking forward to another visit from him soon. You can order his excellent CDs from his website tedpearce.com.
As the autumn and winter ensued we saw God move wonderfully with healings at Rosh Hashanah and Chanukah ministries in Santa Cruz. We also had the opportunity to share on both radio and TV with My Messiah Ministries. Katharine joined Cindy Jacobs (generals.org) with the Deborah Company in New York. We helped Vera Speed and Pastor Caleb with the Pray Cal Rend the Heavens conference in November. During that weekend, God birthed the Pray Israel initiative that Pray California is establishing this year.

Ed Silvoso (harvestevan.org) invited us to be part of Harvest Evangelism's San Francisco Bay Area delegation to Argentina. God touched us all in historical reconciliation between Jews, Catholics and Protestants. Powerful moments of healing followed times of intercession. The rifts between these three generations of Messiah's family were addressed and we saw a new day dawning in the heavenlies. The Harvest Evangelism vision of societal transformation is a powerful, cutting edge ministry. We are blessed by their fellowship.

Back in the Bay Area, Avi Lipkin (vicmord.com) and Mike Evans (jerusalemprayerteam.org) blessed us with powerful times of both teaching and ministry. Myles and Katharine spoke on Changing World Views radio (changingworldviews.com) with Sharon Hughes.
Attending the Mount Hermon Christian Writer's Conference led to publication of the Weiss' testimony in Light & Life Magazine.
We are so grateful to the local pastors who have graciously supported us in our endeavors. Pastors Caleb Klinge, Carter Wood, Ben Medel and Sam Tillery have co-labored to see the vision of the one new man become a reality in this area.
