Vision Statement
Beth Shalom is a Messiah-centered community. In order to be a light for Yeshua in the Bay area, we endeavor to create an atmosphere where Jewish believers can follow Yeshua as Jews, and Christians may reconnect with the Hebraic roots of their faith. We are living in a day when this reconciled Messianic community bears witness to God's faithfulness toward the people of Israel and toward the nations.
Our community belongs to God. He formed us, He sustains us and we exist for His glory. (Romans 11:36)
Our community is Messiah-centered. "And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they kept right on teaching and preaching Yeshua as the Messiah." (Acts 2:46)
Our community is family oriented: We believe that the family was instituted by God as the basis for passing His heritage and values on to the next generation. Together, we form a larger mishpocha (family) devoted to expressing the love of God. (Deut. 6:7)
Beth Shalom is a part of the Messianic revival in the Jewish community. God promised that He would revive the House of Israel in Ezekiel 36:24-27. He did so in the days of the Shlichim (Apostles) of the first century as we read in Acts 21:20. Today, He is once more fulfilling His word by bringing revival to the Jewish people as foreseen in Romans 11:25-32.
Beth Shalom stands as a witness to God's loyal love to Israel by raising up a Jewish remnant. This demonstration of God's covenant keeping faithfulness is central to His plan to redeem and bless the nations (Ezek. 336:23; Luke 2:32; Rom. 11:12,15). We are called to be a house of prayer for all the nations (Isa. 56:7; Matt 21:13).
How is Beth Shalom accomplishing this Vision?
- Shabbat meetings emphasizing the feasts of the Lord
Hebraic centered teaching, Davidic dance, prayer for healing, feasting, fasting and the joy of the Lord are all characteristics of a Beth Shalom gathering. - Israel Experiences
Along this journey God has put us in relationship with some of the finest prophetic teachers in Israel. Their influence has shaped our vision of the “One New Man” (Eph. 2:14). As God has filled our cup we have been privileged to pass on this revelation to pastors and leaders. We have hosted nearly two hundred pilgrims in Israel, and seen them transformed by fresh revelation. We are committed to seeing believers around the world support the believing community in Israel as well as national Israel. God has opened doors beyond our wildest dreams to bring this message to pastors and individual congregations. - Raising money for worthy projects in Israel and at home.
Some examples include Shiloh Israel Children’s fund for victims of terror, Recreation center/outreach to Arabs in East Jerusalem, school backpacks to Arab and Jewish children, and humanitarian aid and Bibles have been given out in Jericho. - Counseling
As a licensed marriage and family therapist, Myles uses ancient Hebrew scripture to help modern families. A major emphasis of Beth Shalom is seeking wise counsel to help build wise families. - Outreach to the Jewish Community
We are compelled to bear the light of Yeshua, the Messiah, to the Jewish people. While maintaining a Jewish lifestyle as followers of Yeshua, we proclaim His Messiahship to the House of Israel in word and deed. - Outreach to the Christian Community
In response to numerous invitations from churches and Christian organizations, we provide teaching and information about the Jewish roots of the Christian faith. - International Outreach
We are actively involved in spreading the Good News of Yeshua to the nations through prayer, financial support and direct personal involvement in ministry trips to various countries.
